.....peace comes when the power of love replaces the love of power. – Jimi Hendrix
AWAKEN NOW AND PROTEST CITIZEN!
……he was a lonely ghost uttering a truth that nobody would ever hear. But so long as he uttered it, in some obscure way, the continuity was not broken. “It is not by being heard, but by staying sane, that we carry on the human heritage.” To the future or to the past, to a time where thought is free…when men are different from one another and do not live alone….to a time when truth exist and what is done cannot be undone. From the age of uniformity…from the age of solitude…from the age of Big Brother….from the age of doublethink[1], Greetings! He was already dead, he reflected. It seemed to him that it was only now, when he had begun to formulate his thoughts, that he had taken the decisive step. The consequences of every act are included in the act itself. He wrote, “thought crime does not entail death. thought-crime is death.” [2]
- the character Winston Smith, from 1984 by George Orwell.

Government uses the tools of placation[3] to dupe ordinary Americans. It then speaks in the languages of doublespeak[4] and newspeak[5] and duckspeak[6] as it methodically removes the public’s ability to think. A typical example of this is convincing the characters that in order to have the freedom of a civilized society they are required to be slaves to their dictatorial regime. For example, “giving up our rights for freedom.” What?

"The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness; only power, pure power....We are different from all the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing....We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship....But always -- do not forget this, Winston -- always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. - 1984 , Orwell

Might I remind us of the consolidation and controlling interests of the press and other media sources that is taking place, into the clutches of a few meglamyopic corporations? [largest media companies.]
The media today sound-bites us and distract our attention toward issues that have no true substantive value. Is that freedom of the press? Is that the role of the press?
What freedom of the press? The media all seem to say the same things about issues that really matter – NOTHING! They're too busy with Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith and sport and fashion......And the public can’t get enough....beeee.....beeeee.....beeee.......they sadly babbled amongst themselves, as if helpless sheep being herded in unison by the harp of a totalitarian-like conductor [government]. AWAKEN CITIZENS!
I’ll close with this clarion call of appeal to Citizens of America that have knowledge of the United States's Constitution and the ideals which led to its design [which by the way is the true target of this wayward government's corrupt ideology to remove rights from the people], -with a few quotations from Thomas Jefferson, – remember him?
“…our liberty depends on the freedom of the press, and that cannot be limited without being lost.” - 1/28/1786
“….nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper [television]; truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle.” - 6/11/1807
“Whenever the people are well informed, they can be trusted with their own government; that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights.” - 1-8-1789
GEM101607 * (This blog will end my Orwellian inferences.) - [my example of the doublespeak virus as an epidemic at work - smile?]
[1] Doublethink is the act of holding two contradictory beliefs simultaneously, fervently believing both; doublethink is so necessary is that it allows the masses to accept being slaves to the system and under total surveillance, while considering themselves free and independent.
[2] An alarm to the citizen – AWAKEN. – gman.101607
[3] placate – to appease, pacify, to allay the anger of, to be more favorably inclined, to gain the good will of;
[4] Doublespeak is language deliberately constructed to disguise or distort its actual meaning, often resulting in a communication bypass. ...
[5] newspeak - a constant process of slimming down language in order to limit peoples ability to communicate and ultimately think
[6] Duckspeak is the breaking down language into repetitive mottos – “Cut and Run”, “Swift Boats”,
